On 2 February, True Energy’s CEO, Charlotte Sand, was on the digital podium as one of the presenters at Energinet’s webinar on how smarter use of data can increase the efficiency of the Danish energy grid. Charlotte Sand shared our company view and insights on how active use of data when converting to climate-friendly energy forms leads to a cheaper way to achieve the Danish Climate Act’s goal of a 70% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. Other speakers included representatives from Energy Cluster Denmark, DigitalLead and Business Aalborg.
Our Three Main Takeaways
- The electricity grid is under increased pressure: If it is not used more efficiently, it may soon experience momentary collapses. Furthermore, the pressure may hamper optimal inclusion of more renewable energy in the electricity supply.
- Data is available: Energinet collects a lot of data and is happy to spar on what applications they – and collaborators – may find for using this data actively.
- We inspire each other: By telling about how we at True Energy use data smartly, we hope to inspire others.
