True Energy’s Mission

Through automated and intelligent charging combined with smart grid integrated flexibility services, we provide EV owners with easy and convenient ways to decrease their climate impact while saving money.

True Energy’s History

True Energy was founded to put an end to the challenges EV owners face every day.

Challenges that True Energy’s founder, Charlotte Sand, faced herself after investing in an electric car, smart meters and solar panels. This led to the idea that there must be optimal times to charge your car – both for the climate and your wallet.

This idea laid the seeds for True Energy. Today, True Energy is represented in several countries and has employees in Denmark, England, Poland, India and Japan

In April 2021, True Energy was bought by Landis+Gyr, a leading global provider of integrated energy management solutions to the utilities sector.
