True Energy was founded to put an end to the challenges EV owners face every day. Challenges that True Energy’s founder, Charlotte Sand, faced herself after investing in an electric car, smart meters and solar panels.

One main issue was identifying optimal times to use electricity – both for the climate and your wallet. This idea laid the seeds for True Energy’s solutions.

True Energy is represented in several countries and has employees in Denmark, England, Poland, India, and Japan.

In April 2021, Landis+Gyr, a leading global provider of integrated energy management solutions to the utility sector, acquired True Energy.
